Vertex Piston Kits are engineered for enthusiasts and professionals seeking to maximize engine performance and durability. The pistons are heat-treated with a T-5 hardening and tempering cycle, enhancing their structural integrity. A high-tech Molybdenum Disulphide coating on the piston skirts minimizes friction, promoting faster break-in times and significantly extending piston life. Depending on the application, kits feature either gravity-cast aluminum alloy pistons with 18% silicone content, offering a light yet strong design, or forged 2618 aluminum pistons for superior strength and durability under high-stress conditions. Forged high-compression pistons are available to boost power and torque across the entire RPM range. Replica pistons and rings meet or exceed OEM specifications, ensuring a seamless fit and reliable performance.
