Description

The Renthal Twinring™ rear sprocket features a unique two-piece design. The inner ring is machined from high-strength Ultralight™ 7075 T-6 aluminum, the same material used in Renthal's renowned standard sprockets. The outer ring is constructed from electro-less nickel-coated steel, maximizing durability while minimizing weight. This innovative design significantly extends the sprocket's lifespan, outlasting all-aluminum sprockets by up to three times, while remaining lighter than an all-steel alternative. The outer ring is thermally fitted to the inner, ensuring a permanent bond through an interference fit and wave pattern. Flat socket head screws provide additional strength, especially during side impacts, and eliminate interference with the chain guide. Self-cleaning mud grooves between each tooth prevent dirt buildup, reducing wear and further minimizing weight.
