These pistons are manufactured using gravity casting with an aluminum alloy containing approximately 18% silicon. The high silicon content is crucial as it reduces thermal expansion, ensuring stability and consistent performance under varying operating temperatures. Suitable for both cast iron and Nikasil cylinder bores, Prox offers a range of oversizes for Nikasil cylinders, graded in A/B/C/D sizing, with each increment increasing by 0.01mm in diameter.
