Description
The Akrapovic Header Pipe is constructed from high-grade titanium and features a carbon-fiber heatshield, ensuring both durability and a premium aesthetic. Designed for closed-course competition, this header pipe enhances exhaust gas flow by utilizing larger diameter tubes and eliminating the catalytic converter. This modification provides a unique and deep racing tone from the boxer engine thanks to the pre-muffler. When combined with the Akrapovic Slip-On Line (Titanium), the system delivers a significant boost in performance. Dyno tests show an increase of 3.1 kW (4.2 hp) at 7,800 rpm and 5.9 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm compared to the stock system on a BMW R 1300 GS.
