The sprockets are heat-treated and bead-blasted, which reduces surface tension in the material, increasing its lifespan and resistance to wear. Front sprockets are manufactured using C45 steel and SCM415 chromoly steel alloy, providing exceptional strength and durability. Many front sprockets also feature a rubber cushion, a design element utilized by major Japanese motorcycle manufacturers since the early 1990s, to effectively dampen chain impact on the teeth.
